Micketts Player Profiles
 Bazza
Bazza was one of the original Micketts, joining when the team formed in 1997. A regular member of the side who had a great desire to win, and hated to lose. It was this double edged sword that eventually led to Bazza leaving, after a couple of tough matches where Micketts were on the wrong end a result.
Despite this, Bazza is still seen around Hounslow Social, and there has been talk of him returning to the squad, even as cover for holidays etc. Bazza's stats speak for themselves, and he has taken some important scalps in big games during this time.

 Hyperman
Hyper has been around since the beginning, although on a couple of occasions the former skipper has taken time out, once just a sabbatical, and the last time seemed more permanent, although bizarrely it took a move away from the area before Hyper re-committed himself to the team.
His 'never-say-die' approach to any leg has often seen him take vital league points, and his best season for the Micketts saw him take the Incie Trophy in the Winter 2000 season.

 Smashie
It would be fair to say that Smashie's arrival into the Micketts in December 2000 has transformed the team. Smashie was known to many of us before this time, however, when we needed a replacement for G Man, who was going on holiday, he kindly stepped in, and there has been no looking back since.
Winning the league singles in his first season with us, Smashie has been the backbone of many great results, boasting around 85% success rate in his singles, and almost permanent posession of the end of season Micketts awards.

 Mezza
Current vice captain, and author of Micketts first Newsletter, Incie News, Mezza has been playing the game since he was 5, although he had to wait until 1997 when Micketts first formed to make his debut. Micketts record appearance holder, closing in on 1,000 legs played, boasts many other records too, such as most 180's.
Mezza, together with Smashie, form one of the most formidable top pairs, endorsing this by winning the Hampton Mini League pairs title at their first attempt (Summer 2003).

 G Man
G Man was one of the original founder members, and more recently has taken over the captaincy, winning the Division One Captain's Cup last year at his first attempt.
As skipper, has guided Micketts to regular winners or runners-up finishes during the most successful period in our history.
Other personal honours include the leagues highest finish in the Winter 2002 league (151), still the Micketts highest.

 Johnnie Boy
Johnnie-Boy joined the Micketts in the Summer of 1998, hitting the winning double on his debut game at The Prince of Wales, as has remained a regular supply of points since.
He regular takes the scalp of the leagues better players, and only Smashie has a better win ratio in the singles.
Having won the Incey Trophy, and on more than one occasion the MoM trophies, it's only a matter of time before he is rewarded with an individual winners trophy in a league competition.

 Double D
Dis signed on in the Summer of 2003, initially as cover, as Micketts switched from Wednesday to Thursday night's. By his own admission, he is probably never going to recapture the form that he once had, and as such, Dis has only featured on subs benches. His one full appearance was at the Coach and Horses in March 2003.
Dis is a regular on our annual Micketts weekend away to Weston-Super-Mare, and wins the Micketts 'most beers consumed in an evening without falling over or talking jibberish' award, hands down.

 Chunk
Chunk signed up towards the end of the Summer 2001 campaign, and was a raw talent with some potential. He played nearly 100 singles, winning over 40% and collecting his first ever 180 on the way, not a bad return for one so new to the game, who had been thrown in the deep end in the top division.
His last match was just before Christmas 2002, when the loss of his regular job made it difficult to commit to regular weekly league darts. Sadly, we will not see further improvement in his game, as he retired at an early age.

 007
Stewart, Donkey, Wazzock, 007 - this guy has more nicknames than he has hit doubles. A good mate of G Man's, a great guy, but sadly no ability on the board at this level, and no reliability off it either.
007 was drafted in at the start of the Winter 2000 season, initially as cover, however, after only three appearances, he lost his place, and never returned to action.
After a couple of weekend's on tour with the Micketts, he is always back on practice night to turn his arm over and join in with a beer or two.

 Mick
Mick, aka G Man's dad, played one game for us in the Winter 2000 season, and one his first singles match. This to date is Mick's only point for the Micketts, and it was welcome all the same.

 Alan
Alan signed up at the end of the Winter 1999 season, with a view to sign permanently. He had played previously on Wednesday nights with G Man, Johnnie Boy and Mezza, although it was a couple of years earlier.
Alan never really cemented a first team spot, and other interests and commitments moved him away from the Micketts before he made an impact. He still drinks at HSC, but restricted to Sunday lunchtimes.

 Albert
Albert is given honorary Micketts status here. A non playing member, who would play, I'm sure, if we were short, but crikey, how short would you have to be?
In all fairness, he has been a long term supporter, and whilst not present at every game, he has been turning up sporadically for years, and does chance his arm (unsuccessfully 98% of the time) on the occasional Sunday night.
