October'04 NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the first Newsletter of the season, there should be a full newsletter here in the not too distant future, but for now we are using this space to bring you the latest news and details from the League.
The Ranch'B' have decided to drop out of the League (yes, again!), Jason had enough of various guys letting him down on a match night. He also said that he was fed up having to keep letting teams within the League down and so decided to call it a day once and for all. Whilst they were a constant pain for failing to complete fixtures and dropping out, it can only be seen as a disappointment to lose yet another side.
The Captain's Cup competition takes place on Thursday 28th October at Hanworth RBL. This season we have decided to open up the competition to two entrants from each team - these should obviously include your Captain, but can also include your vice captain or secretary. Hopefully that should make more of a competition, rather than just the five Captain's.
This season is definately going to be a long one, with so few teams in the League there is a danger of things getting stale. I can only encourage you all to keep going, we have plans to try and encourage teams into the League, but with most other Leagues already getting their season's underway, it could be a while before we have any concrete news for you.
With all the speculation surrounding different teams recently, there seems little point telling you of any interest shown from other sides, until we have their registration fee in the bank. But rest assured we are still very much on the case.
